Crabtree

This week my class went to Crabtree Nature Center.  We ended up being joined by Anna's class and the 2s, so Noah's Ark really took the place over.

We got a special treat and saw a Sandhill Crane on it's migration north.  It's apparently fairly rare, and was very cool to see.  Sandhill Cranes are actually quite large - like deer-size large, although this picture doesn't clearly reflect that.

Our hike guide found a wood tick along the way and showed it to us.  I was amazed.  Prior our visit, mummy did everything she could think to avoid ticks - long pants & sleeves, light colors, hats, essential oil spray, DEET, etc.  We were both less than amazed at the end of the hike when I had a tick wandering around my shirt.  A few minutes later mummy was even less amazed to find a tick wandering around Anna's shirt.  Bottom line, ticks are gross!

Before the hike began Braeden, me and Anthony hung out and used my spy binoculars.

Teeth-time

It finally happened!!!  I actually lost a tooth.  I know that I've been missing that top front tooth for ages, but this is for real!

I was a bit apprehensive about the removal process, so you can see that the permanent tooth already coming in.  The way the tooth came out was a bit unconventional.  I was chewing on a towel and daddy yanked it out of my mouth and out came the tooth!

The crazy part is that I have another tooth loose so before you know it I'll have lost 2 teeth!

T-Ball

Anna and I have joined the Inverness T-Ball league.  It's our first experience in organized sports and it's a steep learning curve.  Anna is working on developing a skill base while I'm trying to improve mine.

Here I am getting batting coaching.  Although I like doing all the activities, batting is the one that I'm the best at.

Grass

The other day I had my first experience with grass.  It wasn't too bad, but I was wearing pants.  My second experience was a little less enjoyable, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of grass eventually.
