Easter

While the big kids were on spring break we got to dye some Easter eggs.  It was a supervised activity for all, but Liz gave me 1:1 attention, like she didn't trust me or something.  I would like you to know that I made the least mess of everyone, including Liz & mummy.

From top to bottom, in sets of 3: my eggs, Noah's eggs, Anna's eggs.  We experimented this year and dyed white and brown eggs.  The white ones were normal and the brown ones took color in a really neat way.  Maybe we'll do them both again next year.

Happy Easter from our family to yours.

There was a church-wide Easter egg hunt that we got to participate in.  Given how big our church is, rumor is that they set out 12,000 eggs.  I don't know how many eggs they put out, but they were everywhere!

Feet

Mummy's favorite baby milestone is when babies find their feet.  I've known about my feet for some time now, but have only recently really taken an interest in them.  Given how fast I'm moving these days, mummy is grateful that I've finally taken an interest in them since playing with them keeps me from scooting around.

Spring Break

Spring break this year was pretty mellow.  The weather wasn't great and Anna ended up with strep throat.  The highlight of my spring break was getting together with my good buddy, Braeden, from school and riding the Metra to 2Toots in Des Plains.  It's a small restaurant, but it was a great train ride and a fun adventure in an otherwise quite week!

Things I Can Do....

I can spit up while I scoot all around the house.  The baby gate is up now because I can't be trusted anymore.

Not only do I scoot around, I also get up on all fours and rock.  That's right, I'm working on my crawling.  I may be baby #4, but I'm going to do everything I can to make my mark on this family!

I'm starting solids.  It's a slow skill for me to acquire, and I sure am interested in everyone elses food.  Give me time and I'll be ready for filet!

I've been practicing trying to touch my nose with my tongue.  Practice, practice, practice they say!

I can check out my bling.  I was borrowing it from Anna who got it from the treasure chest at the dentist office for doing a great job.

Love

I love Liz and she loves me.

I love Anna, and she loves me.

I also love to pick Anna's nose, which maybe she doesn't love as much.

I love Noah, and he loves me.  Isn't great for there to be so much love to go around?

Max McGraw Widlife Foundation

As a spring field trip we went to the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation in Dundee to learn about maple syrup farming.  It was a really neat adventure and we learned that the maple sap looks just like water when it comes out of the tree.  It is the evaporation process that turns it brown.  Most of my class made the trip and it was lots of fun!

Sick and Smashed

Mummy has been a bit behind on the blog, so I'm better now, but a few weeks ago I was pretty sick with a stomach bug.  Mummy didn't realize how sick I was so she dragged me out to Noah & Anna's soccer class.  I was feeling so bad that this is how I was the whole 45 min lesson, which is how mummy realized how sick I was.

After I finally got better, Anna and I were in her room playing "nap" and I got my finger slammed in the door.  Clearly it's been a rough run for me and I'm looking for a turn of luck as we head into spring.

Beauty and the Beast

A few weeks ago we went to Breakfast with Belle with Liz and her friend, Steffie, from Germany.  Liz's daughter was the stage manager for the show, which is how we knew about it.  Here we are with
Lumiere.

Jonah got a quick picture with the Featherduster and Cogsworth.  He often likes to take pictures with his eyes closed on purpose.  I think he thinks that when someone says "cheese" they mean "close your eyes".

Here we are with Belle.

A little character cut-out action.
