Chip

Meet Chip - this is one of his favorite spots to hang out.

Here I am, pre-throw, with my peanuts.

Here you go Chip!

Noah getting ready to give Chip a little snack.

We have a pet! A real, live pet named Chip! To be fair, Chip is a chipmunk that lives in our backyard, but we call him a pet. He visits our back stoop multiple times a day. Today we discovered that we actually have Chip I and Chip II, but we can't tell them apart yet. Since fall is fully in session we decided to feed Chip some peanuts today to help get him ready. They were all gone in a few hours so I think we'll have to throw a few more handfuls out!

Illinois Apples

They had pony rides at the orchard that Anna took advantage of. She really had a fun time and picked the most troublesome pony according to the guys working the ride.

This picture doesn't do it justice, but Noah and I are sitting in a giant rocking chair. It's a staple photo of the orchard.

I'm such a pumpkin in the family that Noah thought he should push me around in the pumpkin wheelbarrow. I wasn't such a fan and tried to roll out right away.

Anna loved eating apples off the tree. At one point she had an apple in each hand.

I however was not such a fan of the apples.

Noah and I watched Anna ride her pony. I loved to stand up with the fence. Maybe you can see in this picture that I still do look quite a bit like Noah.

As it turns out, there are apples in Illinois as well as Massachusetts and fall is never complete without apples. This weekend we went apple picking with a bunch of friends. It was traditional fall weather, nice and grey and cool. It was a successful orchard visit and we're preparing for lots of apple sauce!

Twins

Olive, me, Jonah, Anna and Isabel

I was talking to Olive, Jonah was looking at me and Anna was kissing Isabel because she was sad.

Today we visited mummy's friend in Chicago (near the Willis Tower) and her baby twins, Isabel and Olive. They also have a dog, Bacon, who we all loved! It was a weird concept for Anna and me to think about someone having 2 babies at the same time, but these ones were cute.

Preschool

In the chaos of the first day of school, mummy missed getting pictures with the Noah's Ark sign. We love the logo and now want her to take a picture at least once a week. We still don't have pictures with our teachers, but there are parent/teacher conferences in October so I think we'll get those then, until then, here's the sign.......

Noah's Ark

In case you can't read it - our sign says "First Day of Preschool".

Today was our first day of preschool. Noah and I are going to a new preschool called Noah's Ark. Even after one day we love it already! Maybe it's our cool backpacks that sweeten the deal, but we're excited for the start of this new school year!

Hair Raising

Check out my hair - it looks much longer when it stands straight up.

Noah had a good time pulling Jonah around in the wagon at our new house.

Now that my hair is finally starting to come in, playing with some toys has become a changed expereince. Mummy thinks that in about 14 years it will be her hair standing up on end, not mine.

Half An Update

Well, my 9 month birthday has come amidst the craziness of our move to Illinois. Because of the move my doctors appointments are all off, so I don't have any official stats, but I am a wonderful crawler, have at least 7 teeth and am pulling up to stand. The bruises on my face prove that I'm still working out my new movements, but life is good.
