Happy Halloween! We neighborhood-hopped this year and joined the Riddles & Tuckers (who were also joined by the Smiths, Tofilons and Sudermans) for trick or treating. I was stuck in the stroller for most of the activities, but the big kids had fun at least, and Noah said he'd share his candy with me (although mummy put a stop to that).

Tree House
There's this fun kids play place called the Tree House that we went to this week. It looks like a giant tree house with a little baby area for Jonah to play in. There was a fun slide that I really liked. Anna was lukewarm about the slide until I started to catch her at the bottom. She loved me catching her so much that she wouldn't even let mummy catch her, only me. I'm such a proud big brother and we loved the Tree House so much I'm sure we'll be back.

Charlie & Friends
Better late then never, but I finally got a picture with my preschool teachers. I also got the all important picture of Charlie, our classroom chinchilla. We get to take care of Charlie and feed her raisins all the time. Mummy's glad for me to get my small animal fix at school.

Snagletooth
Since people keep telling me how much I look like Noah, I thought I should keep things going. Confused? Well, this weekend I decided to chip one of my front teeth. My injury wasn't nearly as spectacular as Noah's and was resolved with a little filing of a sharp edge at the dentist office. Mummy can't believe that this is the beginning of my injury streak, but I really do want to be like my bother.
Lunch Date
Back in Reading we had a nice tradition that Jonah, mummy, Gitte and I would go to lunch every Friday that Noah had lunch bunch at school. Clearly some traditions have had to change, but mummy's trying to keep things fun and Jonah, mummy and I have taken to going to lunch on Mondays when Noah does Literacy Lunch Bunch (they read a book and focus on an author while eating lunch). It's not as much fun without Gitte, but we're trying out best.

Standing Man
I've been working on my standing skills like mad! The other day I stood up in the middle of the yard at church. That's right, no holding on to anything - I just stood on up. Today at Kinsch's I used the hay bale to stand up. Mummy suspects that if I put my mind to it I could actually start walking. She tells me that she's in no hurry for me to walk, but I've a few tricks up my sleeve to surprise her.
Kinsch's
Today was my first field trip! I actually tagged along with Noah & Anna for their field trip to Kinsch's Pumpkin Farm. We had snack, learned about seeds, fed some animals and played a lot. I may not be in preschool, but I love field trips!

I
At preschool, Noah is learning his letters through a program called Jolly Phonics. He has a bit of homework with each letter and brings home a page with the letter and to decorate. Mummy's been trying to be creative with the decorating, so for "S" he glued sticks and string on it, for "A" we cut an apple in half and made apple paintings and for "T" he filled it in with thumbprints. For "I" things got really creative and we made ice paintings. The best part of this is that I get to play along and have really enjoyed all of these creative crafts at home, plus I'm learning a little bit more about my letters too!

Big Man
In the midst of all the moving, I finally had a doctors appointment today. It wasn't too bad, with only a little toe prick to check for anemia (I'm fine) and a flu shot (which I didn't like). No matter what growth charts you look at, I'm doing fine. At 20 lbs 9 oz, I am between the 40-60% and at 28 1/2 inches I'm between the 40-50%. I'm cruising now and moving more and more to "big kid" food. I think it's the big kid food that's turning me into a big man!
