Berry Nice to Meet You

Meeting my first blueberry - I ate it soon after this.

Daddy and Noah determining how ripe a blueberry is.

I got to pick a few blueberries myself.

This is what Anna did with every blueberry that made it into her container. She ate them by the handfuls.

After picking blueberries we moved onto raspberries. They were much more picked over so it was more effort. Notice that Anna is also eating what she picked here too.

Today we went to Cider Hill Farm to pick berries. It was my first fruit picking experience and it was pretty fun. Mummy kept biting open blueberries and squeezing the mush inside into my mouth. I shuddered every time I tasted the blueberries, but I loved it all at the same time. I don't know if anyone could love berries as much as Anna though, who ate her weight in the bounty we harvested.

Other Adventures in North Conway

Taking a break at a scenic vista.

Classic Noah grumpy face.

The grown ups built this puzzle one night. Uncle Richard started it, but deserted it before it was finished. With lots of teamwork though they got it done. You can see our church, Park Street, just off of Boston Commons in the puzzle.

The North Conway Scenic Railroad station.

In case you were wondering what a train roundhouse looks like. It was so super cool.

Noah posing with a train as the rest of us toured around the train yard. It was pretty cool to see all of the trains.

In addition to all the official activities we did, we had a few moments of random fun too.

Pool Time

I love to stand on daddy's shoulders and then jump off into the water!

Grant taking a spin around the pool on giraffe.

Daddy wanted to get in on the giraffe action.

Anna coming up for air.

I wanted to make sure that Jonah felt like part of the swimming action.

The place we staying in North Conway had a pool. Given the whole east coast was having a heat wave, the pool came in handy. We Goodalls are little fishes and loved having a pool so handy.

Storyland

Mummy and daddy tricked us into riding the Bamboo Shoots ride. It's your traditional water ride with a steep drop (which you can see a bit of in the background). We were much happier to play in this stationary car then on the actual ride.

I think that Anna's trying to be Little BoPeep, although I'm not totally sure.

It was fun to goof around in the ball pit with Anna and Katie.

And of course the classic picture with Humpty Dumpty. I'm pretty sure Anna made a similar face at him last year.

We got to meet Cinderella (or as Anna calls her, Cinderbella) at Storyland.

No trip to North Conway is complete without a visit to Storyland. We did the 2-day pass and went with Katie & Grant on the second day. Two perfect days at Storyland helped to make our visit to North Conway complete.

I've Been Working on the Railroad

The family waiting for the train to arrive.

While Noah was enjoying the scenery, I was enjoying chewing on mummy's knee.

During lunch I got to sit in a big boy chair because they didn't have highchairs. Let me tell you, I was pretty proud of myself!

Noah and Anna posing with the train.

Auntie Liz and Gran also posed with the train.

Ok, not really, but I have been riding the railroad. We had lunch on the North Conway Scenic Train. For us, it was more about the train then the scenery, but it was great because there was a little something for everyone.

Mount Washington Cog

Daddy, me, mummy, Anna, Auntie Liz, Noah, Gran and Uncle Richard at the top of Mount Washington with our cog train in the background.

Near the top of the mountain it got a little chilly so daddy zipped me into his jacket to keep me warm.

Uncle Richard & Auntie Liz - they can't believe the degree of our climb up the mountain!

Some lovely scenery and a little sense of the degree of our climb.

Another North Conway adventure was taking the cog rail up Mount Washington. Given Mount Washington is known as the "home of the world's worst weather", we had a pretty decent day. The views were lovely and the ride was fun!

Cranmore

Noah was big enough to go down the mountain tubing ride all by himself.....

There was a neat moving walkway up the mountain that made the whole tubing experience very luxurious.

Daddy and me having an exhilarating ride down the mountain!

Jonah got to hang out while we were all having mountain adventures.

Gran and Noah finishing their mountain roller coaster ride.

Me and daddy getting ready for our mountain roller coaster ride to begin.

I just wanted to express my opinion about the ski lift ride to the top.

Mummy and the boys on the way up the ski lift.

We just spent a week in North Conway with Gran, Auntie Liz, Uncle Richard and our whole family. We had all sorts of great adventures everyday and a wonderful time with family. Our first day in North Conway we went to Cranmore Mountain, which was turned into a summertime adventure land. It was awesome!!!
