Last year for Thanksgiving we decided to make fancy high-tea an annual Thanksgiving tradition. To keep our new annual tradition alive, we moved our fancy tea to the Brown Palace in Denver this year. Here are all the ladies of the tea.

My family moved to Colorado in the 80s because my dad got transferred to Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. Over the years, the military closed down the facility and the University of Colorado took over and has been converting the whole base to various medical facilities. They did decide to keep the old main hospital building and offer tours of the 8th floor, as Dwight Eisenhower was treated there during his presidency in 1955 due to a heart attack. As another random interesting fact, John Kerry was also born at this hospital.
What's a good family vacation without a movie? This time it was Disney's Moana, which was a big hit.
A visit to the Denver Christmas Market. One of the best parts of Colorado is that no matter the time of year, good weather is a likely possibility. A Christmas Market and 70 degree weather - yes please.
This is Julia's heart. My mom has Alzheimers and didn't entirely remember who Julia was. That didn't stop Julia from loving on Grandma and talking her ear off. This is what love looks like.
Last year Jonah wasn't able to join us for fancy tea. We were so happy to have him with us this year.
