This week my preschool class went on a field trip to a local Jewel-Osco grocery store. We got to see all of the inner-workings of the grocery store which was lots of fun. Here we are all together ready to start our tour.

It was a fun field trip that allowed Jonah and Anna to come along. Here we are in a back room sampling some of the goodies from the "farm stand" section. To be fair, Jonah & Anna sampled the snacks, but since they didn't offer bananas I skipped this portion of snack.

We got to see someone from the floral department make a corsage. It was neat and they gave it to Mrs. Gaide when it was done.

We also got to check out the bakery section where they decorated a cake for us. We did get to sample a cookie and some frosting and there I was more then willing to participate in snack.

After touring the refrigerator section and checking out a truck that was making a delivery, we got to use the box crusher. Anna hung back from most of the tour, but when it was her turn to use the box crusher she was ready to go. This whole field trip has helped to make grocery shopping a much more exciting.
